Hump-day Happy News

I’m sure that you all feel it sometimes too. Do you ever just hop on the internet and you feel completely bogged down by negative news left, right and centre? War, disease, rising sea levels, animals going instinct, refugee crisis, gun violence…

Now-first and foremost I’m going to say it’s important to read the bad too! Because we need to be aware about what’s gong on in the world in order to be inspired to catalyze change-but it can all be a little depressing yeah?

So, I decided to start posting 7 sources of really happy news (1 for each day of the week!) on Hump-Day. I hope this can brighten your day up!

1 . “More than 100 cities across the world get majority of electricity from renewables.”

Environmental WIN! The shift from fossil fuel, coal and nuclear energy towards renewable energy represents a mindset shift in the WORLD. This is evidence that the movement towards a greener earth is gaining traction. This one made me smile super big.

3. Youth are saying enough is enough with disrespecting our beautiful world-and they’re realizing the importance of protecting it! A prime example of this is trash girl.

This 12 year old girl is making a statement and being brave. I’m sure almost everyone can recall how it feels to be bullied as a kid-definitely not nice-but this girl isn’t going to let bullies stop her and is collecting trash as a way to stand up to the 300 million tons of plastic trash that the world is currently producing annually.
